Class Descriptions

We offer a variety of classes based on the five material elements (panca-bhuta). Yoga Heat being fire (agni), Yoga Power being earth (prithivi), Yoga Flow being water (ap) and Yoga Balance being air (vata). All class styles also offer the fifth element of ether or space (akasha – meaning radiance) giving our community the tools to illuminate their hearts and then in turn, their lives.


The practice of yoga offers many physical benefits including an increase in strength, flexibility, agility, balance, stamina as well as emotional and psychological benefits including a sharper mental focus and an overall sense of wellbeing. Yoga HEAT

Build strength and tone your entire body with this dynamic form of yoga in a room temperature designed to make you sweat!! Yoga Heat is a flowing sequence of yoga postures designed to open up the body, build strength and detoxify your system at the same time. Unlike Bikram yoga, Yoga Heat offers variety in postures and compassion in mind. You do as much or as little as you can without judgments or expectations. Yoga Yin Yang HEAT

Rise & SHINE! Start your day the right way!! Then keep SHINING all day long!! Our Yin Yang HEAT classes commence with a slow moving Yin practice to wake the body up then the class progresses onto the Yang vinyasa practice that we all know and love with the added sweat factor of the heat. This one hour combined practice is perfect for the early birds who want to catch the worms! In yogic traditions, it is the most auspicious time of day and it is the best time of day to practice. Yoga POWER

Yoga Power is a dynamic and flowing form of yoga designed to be physically and mentally challenging. Build strength and stamina, increase flexibility, bone density and agility. Yoga Power is high on sweat factor, fat burning, mental concentration and commitment. Step outside your comfort zone and make way for new experiences. Yoga Power EXPRESS

This EXPRESS version of Yoga POWER will get your heart pumpin’ and your day jumpin’. 45 minutes of Yoga POWER gets you in and out of the studio in less than an hour leaving you plenty of time to continue on with the rest of your rockin’ day!!Pre-Book a Class.

POWER Pilates

This core based practice is designed to strengthen and tone not only your core but can change the shape of your whole body. Power Pilates is the perfect complement to your yoga practice or to any physical activity you participate in making all movement in life easier by strengthening your ‘Power House’ – your core! Yoga BALANCE

Room Temp: Cool (20°-22°)


Bring balance to your physical activities with this deep opening style of yoga practice. Yoga BALANCE is designed to restore your tired, sore muscles by gently and slowly working with the connective tissue by holding poses for an extended period of time. Coupled with Self Myofascial Release Techniques (SMRT) using tennis balls, rubber balls and golf balls, this Yin style of yoga complements any type of physical activity and is a great way to balance out the Yang in our everyday lifestyles. Yoga CONDITIONING

Think strength, stamina, core, cardio, flexibility and mobility. Yoga CONDITIONING is designed to target strength training for overall performance as well as pose specific conditioning. Coupled with yoga’s version of high intensity interval training and you have yourself a recipe for some serious transformation in all aspects of the yogic practice. Pre-Book a Class.




Yoga PLAYTIME

Yoga PLAYTIME is for your very own Personal Practice. This supervised but not led time allows you to roll out your mat in PHY’s beautiful studios and guide yourself through your Yoga PLAYTIME at your own pace. Bring your home practice to the studio or simply soak up the quiet energy of the space as well as fellow practicing yogi’s. This personal practice time is suitable for all practitioners who have an established personal practice.  Supervising teacher is there to ask questions and offer assists, but does not lead a class or offer one on one coaching. ** Both studio's must remain strictly a quiet space during Yoga PLAYTIME hours with all conversations to be taken into reception or foyer areas.




Yoga FLOW

Yoga Flow is a moderate flowing (vinyasa) practice to allow you to focus on the anatomical alignment of the yoga poses and to find more depth and physical awareness during your time on the mat. This practice allows you the space and time to explore your body in the poses enhancing your strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Yoga BEATS

A fun upbeat class with all the latest tunes, Yoga Beats is Yoga Flow with extra flavour! Practicing to the pumping tunes of the Top 40 Hits of all musical genres as well as some classic tunes of the past, we get to shake our Asana’s in this jam packed class full of poses and smiles! With an extra light hearted groove to this practice, Yoga Beats makes room for lots of fun and laughter. Pre-Book a Class.




Yoga BLOKES

Designed by blokes, for blokes! This male only dedicated class teaches the foundation of the yoga practice with a light hearted, entertaining and modern day approach. It’s what we like to call “The No Bulls#*t Approach”. Blokes will be challenged, stimulated and guided through the yogic practice reaping ALL the benefits without any of the bulls#*t!! MEDITATION VIBES

This sound therapy guided meditation class is designed for you to absorb the healing vibrations of the instruments and float away in the ambient sounds. Using various therapeutic instruments, allow yourself the time for the atmosphere to wash away the dust of the day.

MEDITATION OM Circle

Join our community for an OM Circle where we chant 108 OM's sitting in a circle. You also have the opportunity to soak up the vibrations of the sea of OM's from the group by laying in the middle of the circle in savasana for as long as you feel you need. Chanting the mantra OM (AUM) has been proven to calm the nervous system, focus the mind and promote a more peaceful internal environment making space for healing, creativity, stillness, intuition and connection. * Monthly Class. Yoga PROS

Yoga COACHING

Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, Yoga Coaching is designed with YOU in mind. Dee (our head yogini) is also a qualified personal trainer and will design one on one or small group coaching sessions to suit your specific requirements. Catering for all walks of life and all levels of fitness, Yoga Coaching is a great way to enhance your practice in a safe and nurturing environment. Sports Recovery
